GIVEAWAY! Win a complete SIGNED set of The Sin Eater’s Daughter series

I’m really, really nervous about posting this, because it’s my first ever giveaway and I’m sure I’ll have done something wrong! But here goes anyway.

When my local Waterstones held the fabulous ‘What Makes a Girl Strong’ tour event with Melinda Salisbury, Katherine Webber, Catherine Doyle and Sara Barnard, I decided to purchase some spare copies of The Sin Eater’s Daughter series and get them signed by the wonderful Melinda in order to give them away on this blog. It’s taken me slightly longer than I would have liked to have done this, but sometimes life interferes!

(Please excuse the dodgy lighting!)

You know how much I love these books, right? I felt it was only fair to share the joy (and by joy, I obviously mean heartbreak and woe. *g*). In all seriousness though, this is a fantastic series and yes, Melinda Salisbury will happily tear your heart out with her writing, but she’ll do it so well you won’t mind a bit.

The winner will receive:

1 SIGNED copy of THE SIN EATER’S DAUGHTER

1 SIGNED copy of THE SLEEPING PRINCE

1 SIGNED copy of THE SCARECROW QUEEN

1 SIGNED copy of THE KING OF RATS (the short story published at YALC 2016)

1 postcard

  1. Thanks so much for the chance, I loved the first book a lot! My favorite book series.. this is hard.. probably The Infernal Devices.. or Bloodlines. Oh, or the Ruby Red Trilogy. I CAN’T CHOOSE!

    1. I have only heard of one of those, although a quick google tells me Richelle Mead wrote Bloodlines, and I’ve read some of her other stuff. I’ll check these out, so thanks for the recommendations. Sorry to make you choose a favourite though!

Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway!

    1. You’re welcome! Vampires seem to be quite popular in general. I’ve seen the film but not read the books, so I’ll check them out.

Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway! Good luck!

  2. This is amazing! This serie is one of the most anticipated that I am planning to read this year.
Favorite serie? Beside Harry Potter, I would say Grisha that I am currently reading and loving with every inch of my body!

    1. It’s an amazing series – I’m glad you had it on your list already! I’ve read the first Grisha book, and the Six of Crows duology, but I need to read the others soon!

Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway! Good luck!

  3. OMG, this is AMAZING! Sorry for the yelling, but I had to do it. Thank you so much for this opportunity, and for making it international. Plus, they are signed *screams* Been meaning to pick up this trilogy for such a long time now, so thanks thanks thanks. And that event sounds fantastic, I hope you enjoyed it!

Also, I would never go against Wands, so if Wanda says I should enter, I enter (love her)

      1. I read them a long time ago, but my appreciation has faded over the years, and I felt book 3 was something of a disappointment anyway. Are you excited about The Book of Dust then?

(I can’t see your entries to the giveaway on rafflecopter by the way – don’t forget to log your entries at the link or you won’t be included in the draw!)

      2. They were the books that got me into reading so they will always have a special place in my heart. I’m kinf of scared of reading them now for that reason but yes, I’m super excited about The Book of Dust. Will you read it too? (book 3 was my least favourite too)

It’s so weird about the entries, I have completed and added all of them at the link; I don’t know what must have happened.

    1. That’s fine – I yell all over the internet! I’m so glad you like the giveaway – when I had the opportunity to pick up extra signed copies, I couldn’t resist. It was a brilliant event – all the authors were so lovely. (I looked at all my funko pops trying to see who suited this series the most, and obviously it was Wanda – the books have magic and kick-ass heroines, so who else could I pick?!)

Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway! Good luck!

    1. Yep, all finished now. I’m feeling slightly bereft! I’ve not heard of that series, so I’ll have to check it out.

  4. I totally thought I commented but I view I forgot bc I was too excited! So glad to find a new blog to follow too!
My fave: THIS SERIES!! I’m broken-hearted bc they aren’t releasing The Scarecrow Queen in the US until next Spring! I’ll die by then, lol.
And I don’t own a single one of these: the local library helped me read this amazing series. I downloaded the free novellas and I have been waiting for a giveaway of one of these…but ALL THREE SIGNED?!? And the NOVELLAS IN BOOK FORM?? I’m going crazy over here! 😍😍😍😍
I hope I hope I hope! This would be a dream come true.
If not, at least I did make a new bloggerino friend! 😊

    1. I was really confused too, because I was thinking I’d definitely replied to a comment from you, but I can see you commented on a different post! It’s sorted now anyway. 🙂 Wow, that’s a long time away – I wonder why there’s such a delay on the third book! And new friends and blogs are always excellent. 🙂 Best of luck for the giveaway!

      1. Thank you! Yeah…it was on your Bloglovin link…so I just added you on Bloglovin! I don’t get many follows over there, but I rarely use it. I get all posts emailed to me so I don’t miss any…I regret it a bit on days like today where I have a bazillion emails, but at least I know I don’t miss anything! 😂
Yeah, for some reason book three doesn’t publish at the same time here…at least when I asked Melinda about it she seemed unhappy about the situation. I have been getting the books from the library bc I’m broke, but to wait that long for the conclusion?? I’m going to go out of my MIND!
You’re the first giveaway I’ve seen with these books: I’m hoping for some birthday magic! (March 8!)
Yes, I love new blog buddies! Esp ones with great taste in books like me, lol! 😂😂😂

      2. I’ve only just signed up to bloglovin. I hoped it might make it easier for me to keep up with everyone, but I haven’t got into the habit of checking it yet. I will have to remember!

      3. Me too. I would like to stop the tons of email post reminders and just go to one place, you know? Those 1200 (now) emails are mocking me, and I can’t get through them all! Everyone needs to sign up to Bloglovin!

      4. It’s really hard: I thought it was a brilliant concept, but it doesn’t seem to work for me because I need to add a button on my blog…then people might actually follow me there. It’s a good idea and concept.
I do prefer WordPress blogs though bc they are so easy to follow! (I’m glad your blog is a WP blog, lol! I get my updates right in my email and I don’t miss anything then on the WP side of blogging…I forget a lot of Blogger blogs bc they aren’t as easy to follow (at least for me).
I am going in every day on this post to make sure I have tweeted for the day, and I have told a couple that I saw enter that if they win, I’ll have to bribe them for this set! I wish I had seen something like this on Twitter on booksfortrade, because I am so wanting these books and my odds for this are small. It’s like spotting a wild unicorn and being told, “you might get a chance to ride him, but you have to compete with all these people.” I wish she was in the US and I could see her on tour!
Ok, sorry for the huge response! 😂😂😂🤣😂

      5. Haha, yes, I much prefer WP blogs because they’re much easier to follow. I wish they showed the whole post in the reader though without me having to click through, but I think that’s just me being lazy!

    1. Aw, thanks. I thought I should take advantage of such a great signing event! I have a copy of Splintered but I haven’t got around to reading it yet. I should probably move it up the tbr! Have you read Roseblood yet?

Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway!

  5. !! Wow! That’s an incredible giveaway! I am so glad I stopped by and this series caught my eye. I can’t wait to read it, but it would be even more exciting if it was a signed copy. 😉

I’m going to my first author event on Friday– You’ve inspired me to do something similar. Thanks for the great idea!

      1. I spent my whole drive to the event trying to come up with a question to ask. I definitely don’t want to show up empty-handed there. But, I think it’s totally fine not to say anything. We’re bookish people, after all. Not all of us are great orators. 😉

      2. Oh, I very rarely manage to actually ask a question! Fortunately there are other people there willing to take up the slack on that one!

  6. (Oh how embarrassing…I posted my comment in the wrong place! Now that I’m red-faced, I’ll repost here 🙂 )

I’ve not read this series, but I’ve heard such great things about. And the books look so lovely in your pictures! Thanks so much for the chance 🙂

    1. Thank you for entering! (and don’t worry about commenting in the wrong place -you’re not the only one! :)) The books look amazing together – my personal copies are scattered all over my room, but the giveaway set are all together and I love looking at them!

  7. Thanks for this great giveaway!!

My favorite series…. Charlie Davidson series by Darynda Jones, The Hollows series by Kim Harrison, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, of course HP, I could keep going!
There are several mystery series books I like too – I’ll read them between YA fantasy books just to mix things up.

    1. You’re welcome! I glad you liked it, so thank you for entering! I must admit, I tried a Kim Harrison book and didn’t like it, but I read the first Lunar Chronicles book recently and really enjoyed it, so I need to pick up the rest of the series.

      Thanks for commenting!

  8. Thank you for such a great opportunity!! I’ve been hoping to read this series for a long time now, I’m always passing by it in my local bookstore but I never have the money to buy it or else I went in there the intensions of buying different books.
My favourite book series…. that’s a difficult question, I’d have to say my favourite book series (or at least one of them) is Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

    1. You are most welcome. Thank you for entering!

To my shame, I have never read the Percy Jackson books. I’ve seen the films and enjoyed them, but never got round to the books. My mum read them recently and enjoyed them though!

  9. By the way, I’m so glad I’m following you because even if I don’t win this, I’m hoping once I do eventually secure a copy of The Scarecrow Queen, you and I can fangirl? No other friend of mine really has read and loved the series like we have…we’ll have to DM on Twitter and I’ll need someone to gush to, lol!
You wanna be friends on Goodreads? I have a feeling we have similar book taste!
